Ko Si-Chang

Ko Si-Chang is not well visited by international visitors but I do find this idyllic island has its own charm.

It is pretty near to Bangkok actually just across from the sea side town of Si-Racha.

Leaving the pier of Si-Racha,

Arriving the island, with view a Chinese temple situated on hillside.

Tutuks on the island are different in design from Bangkok.. lot more spacious. This is the main mode of transport on the island.

Booked one for 2 days that will take us around various spots of interest around the island.

Stayed on a hillside resort near here with magnificent of the sea below. Not an area swim though.

Walking down the trial..

The Chinese temple have special significance to the Chinese community in Thailand for it was here many early immigrants set foot after the long sea voyage from southern China.

View of bay area.

There are many temples here for meditation retreat.

This probably the best beach on the island... watched sun set here.

Fishing boats beach here has a rustic look but beautiful.

It is not a big island but still enjoyable for a day or 2... with a very laid back feeling around.
